Fe de Agua ~ A Film by Guana Productions

Fe de Agua

The Trailer

There are moments in one's life that will either make or break you. Fe De Agua is a short film about one such moment, when a boy from Guanacaste comes face to face with his destiny. It's a story about love, life, family, faith, and learning to stand on water.

During the few minutes that a professional surfer is waiting for a wave during the first heat of his first mayor surf competition in Hawaii, the most important moments of his childhood flash through his mind. What were the most important moments of his life that brought him to where he's at? Mauricio is a humble boy from Guanacaste who's presumed destiny was to chop grass with a machete by his fathers side, but his real destiny replaces the machete with a surfboard, changing the course of his life at age 10, when he meets a deep-souled surfer named Javier who teaches him how to surf.

The film develops in flashbacks as the land of Guanacaste becomes the backdrop to an uplifting story in which the plains, sunsets and beaches serve as a rich palette and the place becomes a character of its own.
